Product Design : "Accrochage"

The aim of this project was to design something that involves the action of "hanging" or "holding in place".

I created a portable and minimalist paper/document holder, that was initially made to be put on the back of a laptop computer, in order for someone to copy something from a document without having to move the face and/or neck. It was later shown it can be used for hanging any kind of document on any surface that takes up suction cups.

It is made out of a rectangular wooden block that has two suction cups in the back, two little magnets on the front that holds a paper clip, and an extendable magnet on the top to place the document.

One places the device on the back of the laptop with the suction cups, takes out the extendable magnet to the required length, and places the paper with the metal paper clip onto the magnet.
